TIB KAT 354 – Dimethyltin bis(2-ethylhexyl mercaptoacetate) for PU and silicone catalysis

TIB KAT 354, also known as dimethyltin bis(2-ethylhexyl thioglycolate), is a methyl-based Sn(IV) organotin catalyst that is mainly used as a homogeneous catalyst for polyurethane systems and silicones.

The high reactivity of the product results from the low steric hindrance of the methyl group in combination with the high tin content. Compared to standard metal carboxylates, TIB KAT 354 offers more controlled reactivity thanks to its sulfur-containing ligand.

The typical application amount is 0.01–1% by weight.
