TIB KAT MP – Blocked methanesulfonic acid catalyst for stoving enamels
TIB KAT MP is a formulation of methanesulfonic acid and selected amine components, which together form a blocked acid catalyst. The product is particularly suitable for stoving enamels, where it delivers high cross-linking efficiency.
Properties & advantages
- Very high catalytic activity, significantly stronger than p-toluenesulfonic acid-based catalysts
- Enables lower catalyst additions compared to conventional products
- Offers a longer pot life than TIB KAT MSA
- Stable and powerful in various coating formulations
The recommended dosage is 0.5–2.5%, depending on the application.
