TIB KAT 812 – Cerium octoate as a primary drier
TIB KAT 812, also known as cerium tris(2-ethylhexanoate), is used as a primary drier and is often combined with auxiliary driers. The product supports polymerization and through-drying and is particularly suitable for coatings that dry at low temperatures and high humidity.
TIB KAT 812 is easily diluted in common solvents such as xylene or mineral spirits.
The recommended usage rate is 0.1–0.3 wt% metal, based on the solids content of the total formulation.
