TIB KAT 715 – Bismuth/zinc neodecanoate for polyurethane systems
TIB KAT 715 is a widely used bismuth/zinc co-catalyst for polyurethane applications. Thanks to neodecanoic acid as a ligand, it is highly compatible with many PU formulations. Its special reactivity results from both metal components, which offer different catalytic effects in the overall reaction.
On request, TIB KAT 715 can be supplied with variable bismuth/zinc ratios. The product is also suitable as a replacement for DBTL (TIB KAT 218) in certain PU systems.
TIB KAT 715 is particularly suitable for curing reactions at elevated temperatures. It is soluble in common PU solvents; however, solution stability should be checked.
The recommended dosage is 0.02–0.5% by weight.
