TIB KAT 623 – Zinc acetylacetonate for highly reactive and high-temperature applications
TIB KAT 623, an amorphous, solid zinc catalyst – often referred to as Zn(acac) – is characterized by a high zinc content (~23%) and a ketonate ligand, which gives the product both high reactivity and temperature stability.
TIB KAT 623 is used as a catalyst in the following applications:
- Deblocking of urethdiones for polyurethane coatings
- Condensation reactions of silicone resins
- Cross-linking of powder coatings
- Raw material for the production of PVC stabilizer formulations
