TIB KAT 616: Tin-free catalyst for polyurethane systems

TIB KAT 616 is a highly effective, tin-free catalyst that has been specially developed for the catalysis of polyurethane systems. This catalyst offers outstanding performance in a wide range of applications and is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional organotin catalysts.

Advantages of TIB KAT 616:

  • Longer pot life: Compared to organotin catalysts, TIB KAT 616 offers a longer pot life in two-component systems (2p systems), allowing for more flexible processing.
  • Excellent curing at high temperatures: TIB KAT 616 is ideal for curing reactions at elevated temperatures and is particularly suitable for curing systems based on aromatic isocyanates.
  • Higher reactivity and color stability: Compared to TIB KAT 620, TIB KAT 616 has higher reactivity and improved color stability.

Recommended application:

TIB KAT 616 should be used in concentrations between 0.02 and 1.0 wt% based on the total formulation to achieve optimum results.
