TIB KAT 535 – Titanium(IV) ethoxide for esterification and condensation reactions
TIB KAT 535, also known as tetraethyl titanate (TET) or tetraethyl orthotitanate, is a liquid catalyst based on an alkoxy titanate. It is mainly used for esterification and transesterification reactions and is also suitable for curing hydrolysis-condensing cross-linking systems.
TIB KAT 535 is sensitive to moisture and must therefore be handled with care. Contact with moisture can release alcohol, leading to a drop in the flash point.
