TIB KAT 530 – Titanium isopropoxide for silicone and esterification reactions
TIB KAT 530, also known as titanium tetraisopropoxide or tetraisopropyltitanate (TIPT), is a liquid catalyst containing titanium. It is used for curing silicones, silanes, and silane-terminated polymers and is also suitable for esterification and transesterification reactions.
TIB KAT 530 is highly sensitive to moisture. Contact with moisture should be avoided, as high humidity can cause hydrolysis, which leads to a lowering of the flash point.
