Product information

TIB KAT 314 (dioctyltin bis-2-ethylhexyl maleate) is an octyltin carboxylate with a unique ligand that offers improved hydrolytic stability and lower toxicity compared to the butyl analogue TIB KAT 317.

As a Lewis acid-based homogeneous catalyst, TIB KAT 314 is used in silicone condensation reactions and polyurethane applications.

Properties:

  • Balanced reactivity profile with moderate front-end and back-end reactivity
  • Ideal for applications with controlled curing such as coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers
  • Catalyzes silanol/silane condensation reactions as well as isocyanate-polyol reactions
  • Registered on international lists (US TSCA, Canada DSL)

Note: TIB KAT 317 is recommended for higher reactivity. Reactivity can be adjusted by dosage.
