TIB KAT 229 S20 – Dioctyltin diacetate + polysiloxane for RTV and silane systems

TIB KAT 229 S20 is a special formulation consisting of dioctyltin diacetate (TIB KAT 229) and polysiloxane. The product can be used as an alternative to DBTA / TIB KAT 233 and optimizes reactivity and handling in silane-based systems.

TIB KAT 229 S20 is used as a catalyst for:

• Polycondensation of RTV silicone resins
• Crosslinking of silane-based systems

Properties

• Based on highly reactive octyltin diacetate
• Improved processability due to polysiloxane
• Suitable as a replacement for regulated butyltin catalysts (e.g., DBTA)
• Slightly sensitive to moisture
