TIB KAT 226 V80 – Dibutyltin bis(acetylacetonate) + VTMO for PU, RTV, and MS silyl systems
TIB KAT 226 V80 is a formulated version of dibutyltin bis(acetylacetonate) combined with VTMO. The butyl-based organotin catalyst has a ketonate functionality and is used in the following applications:
- 1‑K‑MS‑silyl systems
- Polycondensation of RTV silicone resins and silanes
- Synthesis of polyurethane systems
TIB KAT 226 V80 is supplied in liquid form; crystallization does not occur above 10–15°C. The product is miscible with organic solvents.
Since TIB KAT 226 V80 is sensitive to moisture, opened containers should be resealed immediately. Inerting with nitrogen is recommended.
