TIB KAT 125

TIB KAT 125 (stannous neodecanoate), also known as tin bis-(neodecanoate), is an inorganic tin carboxylate with moderate metal content.

It is is supplied in a neat form with excess free acid typically in higher concentrations when compared to TIB KAT 129 (Stannous Octoate) or TIB KAT 125 LA.

Applications:

• Esterification in oleochemistry
• Catalysis of polyurethane systems
• Curing of silicone resins and silanes
• Polymerization of lactones to biodegradable polymers Properties:
• Liquid catalyst, easily dispersible in the reaction mixture
• Easy dosing during the reaction
• Can be added directly or mixed with alcohols
• Use in esterification from 160 °C
• Typical concentration: 0.01–0.20 % Removal from esters is carried out chemically (hydrolysis, oxidation) or by adsorption with TIB TINEX products.
