TIB KAT 125 LA

TIB KAT 125 LA (stannous neodecanoate), also known as tin bis-(neodecanoate), is an inorganic tin carboxylate with moderate metal content and lower acidity than TIB KAT 125.

It is typically supplied in pure form and is suitable for:

• Esterification in oleochemistry
• Catalysis of polyurethane systems
• Curing of silicone resins and silanes
• Polymerization of lactones to biodegradable polymers

Properties:

• Liquid catalyst, easily distributable in the reaction mixture
• Easy dosing during the reaction
• Can be added directly or mixed with alcohols
• Use in esterification from 160 °C
• Typical concentration: 0.01–0.20%

Removal from esters is carried out chemically (hydrolysis, oxidation) or by adsorption with TIB TINEX products.
