TIB KAT 716 LA – Low-Acid Bismuth Neodecanoate for Polyurethane Applications
TIB KAT 716 LA is an effective, low-acid catalyst formulation for a wide range of polyurethane applications.
Compared to standard TIB KAT 716, TIB KAT 716 LA has a lower free acid content and thus offers balanced front-end and back-end reactivity. The catalyst is suitable as a tin-free alternative to DBTL in numerous PU systems, including coatings, adhesives and sealants, elastomers and foams.
The typical usage amount is 0.01–0.1%. TIB KAT 716 LA is soluble in common solvents for polyurethane systems; however, testing of solution stability is recommended. The catalyst can be mixed directly into the reactants or premixed with alcohols.
