Start of studies in 2025
Two New Dual-Track Students Join the Chemical Engineering Department
As of October 1, 2025, we at TIB Chemicals are pleased to welcome two new dual-track students to the Chemical Engineering Department. With the start of their dual-track studies, these two up-and-coming talents are embarking on an exciting and varied training phase that optimally combines scientific theory with practical professional experience. We are very pleased to be able to guide and support the students during this important stage of their professional journey.
Fostering young talent and training qualified specialists are top priorities at TIB Chemicals. In the chemical industry in particular, well-trained young professionals are crucial for driving innovation, refining processes, and successfully meeting the industry’s future challenges. Dual degree programs offer ideal conditions for this, as they combine academic knowledge with practical experience within the company.
Over the next three years, the two students will complete the practical portion of their studies at TIB Chemicals. In parallel with the theoretical training phases at DHBW Mannheim, they will gain comprehensive insights into the diverse areas of work at our company. This will allow them to directly experience and apply the content taught in their studies in a practical setting.
A particular focus of their training is on working in our various laboratory areas. As part of their practical placements, the students will rotate through numerous departments and laboratories, gaining familiarity with different analytical methods, testing procedures, and technical processes. They will gain insights into modern laboratory analytics, quality control, research and development, as well as the diverse production processes of an internationally active chemical company.
The combination of university and company offers numerous advantages. While students at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW Mannheim) in Mannheim acquire in-depth knowledge in the fields of chemistry, process engineering, analytics, and technical processes, they can immediately apply and deepen this knowledge at TIB Chemicals. This results in a particularly practice-oriented program that optimally prepares students for the demands of professional life.
In addition, dual-track students become familiar with the operations of a modern industrial company at an early stage. They work alongside experienced colleagues, gain valuable hands-on experience, and develop a comprehensive understanding of industrial processes, quality standards, and sustainable production methods. At the same time, they develop important personal skills such as teamwork, personal responsibility, and a solution-oriented approach to work.
For TIB Chemicals, the partnership with DHBW Mannheim is a key component of our efforts to nurture the next generation of talent. Through dual study programs, we create attractive career prospects for young people while simultaneously strengthening the link between academia and industrial practice. In this way, we can support qualified professionals early on and secure their long-term commitment to the future of our company.
We are confident that the next three years will be an exciting, educational, and successful time for our new dual-track students. They will have the opportunity to actively participate in projects, gain valuable experience, and apply their theoretical knowledge in a modern work environment.
We look forward to working together, exchanging ideas, and undertaking many exciting projects. As they begin their dual study program, we wish our two new students every success, interesting insights, and a rewarding time at TIB Chemicals.
