Girls Day 2025
On April 3, 2025, TIB Chemicals AG opened its doors to a total of 15 interested young people as part of the nationwide Girls’ Day 2025. In addition to girls, boys also took the opportunity to learn about the diverse professional fields and career opportunities at a modern chemical company. The goal of the event was to provide young people with hands-on insights into technical, scientific, and digital professions and to show them exciting prospects for their professional futures.
As an internationally active company headquartered in Mannheim, TIB Chemicals AG has been committed for many years to promoting young talent, providing career guidance, and training future specialists. Girls’ Day 2025 offers an ideal platform for this, bringing students into contact with careers in the chemical, technical, and IT industries at an early stage.
The event was divided into three varied thematic areas, which gave participants a comprehensive insight into the different fields of work at our company.
Maintenance and Plant Fire Department: Focus on Safety and Technology
In the first thematic block, the young people learned about the diverse tasks of our maintenance department and our plant fire department. They gained exciting insights into the maintenance and repair of technical equipment, as well as the measures taken to ensure operational safety. The work of the plant fire department, in particular, generated a great deal of interest. The participants learned about the role the plant fire department plays in hazard prevention, fire protection, and occupational safety at a chemical company.
IT and Process Control: Experiencing Digitalization in Industry
The second session focused on the digital world of modern industry. The young people gained insight into the fields of IT, automation, and process control technology. They learned how digital systems monitor, control, and safeguard production facilities. This highlighted just how important innovative technologies are for efficient, safe, and sustainable production processes. Careers in the field of Industry 4.0, in particular, offer excellent future prospects today and are becoming increasingly important.
Laboratory and Production: Experiencing Chemistry Up Close
The third thematic block took the participants into the laboratory and production areas. Here, they were able to get hands-on and conduct small experiments under expert guidance. They also gained practical insight into the manufacture of chemical products and were able to follow individual production steps. This clearly demonstrated how scientific knowledge is applied in everyday professional life and what tasks specialists in the chemical industry perform.
Girls’ Day 2025 was a resounding success for everyone involved. The young participants’ keen curiosity, enthusiasm, and numerous questions impressively demonstrated their interest in technical and scientific careers. At the same time, the event provided a valuable opportunity for personal interaction between the participants and our employees.
