On December 6, 1872, the foundation was laid for an impressive success story. Today marks the 150th anniversary of TIB Chemicals AG—a milestone celebrating one and a half centuries of passion for chemistry, innovation, and sustainable growth. As an internationally active chemical company headquartered in Mannheim, TIB Chemicals has stood for quality, continuity, and the development of high-performance specialty chemicals for a wide range of industries for generations.
Over the past 150 years, TIB Chemicals AG has continuously evolved while always staying true to its roots. What once began as a chemical company is now a global provider of innovative solutions for surface treatment, corrosion protection, catalysts, coating systems, and many other industrial applications.
A special highlight of our anniversary year was the big Family Day on September 24, 2022, at the TIB Chemicals AG plant in Mannheim. In perfect weather, we welcomed numerous employees, family members, and visitors who celebrated this special anniversary with us. Through an extensive product exhibition, guests gained exciting insights into our company’s diverse fields of activity and technologies.
The popular factory tour on our little train was a particular hit. During the approximately 15-minute ride, visitors were able to experience the various production areas up close and gain a unique behind-the-scenes look at a modern chemical company.
Just a few days earlier, the official internal anniversary celebration took place at the Mannheimer Genussmanufaktur. Around 250 employees gathered to toast 150 years of company history. Following an emotional look back at significant milestones from past decades, everyone celebrated, laughed, and danced together. A varied buffet, creative cocktails, a photo booth with original souvenir photos, and live music provided by a band made the evening an unforgettable experience.
This anniversary impressively demonstrates that the success of TIB Chemicals AG is based above all on the dedication, experience, and team spirit of its employees. Together, we look back with pride on 150 successful years and, at the same time, look to the future with confidence.
