TIB KAT 248

TIB KAT 248 is a solid amorphous catalyst which is used mainly in esterification-, transesterification- and polycondensation-reactions.

TIB KAT 248 can be used at temperatures of approx. 90 - 260°C. Low temperature-reactions, as e.g. the conversion of acrylates are catalysed as well as high temperature-reactions, as e.g. polyester or alkyd resin produc¬tion.

For the application as ingredient of electro¬deposition paint, TIB KAT 248 is available in different particle-size distributions.

TIB KAT 248 is also well suitable for the transesterification of vinyl acetate or acrylic acid copolymers.

Furthermore, the catalyst can be applied in the production of polycarbonates.

Depending on the application TIB KAT 248 is used in concentrations between 0.01 and 0.5%.
