TIB KAT 716: liquid bismuth catalyst for polyurethane systems
TIB KAT 716 is a liquid bismuth-based catalyst used to replace DBTL in certain polyurethane systems. It is ideal for automotive, industrial and automotive refinishing coatings, as well as a catalyst for PU prepolymers and elastomer formulations.

Use and advantages of TIB KAT 716 TIB
KAT 716 is typically used in concentrations of 0.01 to 0.1 wt.-%. Compared to TIB KAT 720, it offers higher activity at the same metal content and improved storage and color stability.

Use and solvent compatibility
TIB KAT 716 can be dissolved in common solvents and can be added either directly to the polyurethane systems or to the reactants, either neat or mixed with alcohols. It is recommended to carefully test the stability of the solution.
